I’ve starting using human urine (well, mine) on my b. oldhamii and b. multiplex ‘Alphonse Karr’. It saves on toilet flushing water and the plants seem to like it. It needs to be fresh, though, as the ammonia content goes way up after 24 hours.

As far as I know, the bamboo will be just fine with dog urine. The biggest problem folks have with their dogs, is digging up, or breaking the stems of young bamboo plantings. Hope that helps!

We have a small backyard with two siberian huskies. Is this the same type of urine? Will this kill the bamboo if they share tôo much?
